TNZ's change management consulting practice brings a combination that most firms cannot: Prosci-certified change methodology alongside deep expertise in workplace conflict, resistance dynamics, and the human psychology of organizational transition. When change stalls, and it always stalls somewhere, we know why.
In 2026, the most significant change management challenge facing most organizations is AI adoption. The technology questions are largely solved. The human questions, what work means, who the experts are, how trust is established with AI-augmented processes, are exactly where TNZ's expertise applies.
Our change management consulting engagements are embedded, not arms-length. We work as change partners, not report writers. Our consultants work alongside your project team, your HR function, and your leadership to ensure the human dimensions of change are integrated from initiation through to sustainability.

How it works
Our process
1
Change readiness assessment
We assess organizational readiness, sponsor alignment, stakeholder risk, and likely resistance patterns before the change programme is designed.
2
Change management plan
A structured plan covering stakeholder engagement, communication, training, resistance management, and measurement, integrated with the project timeline.
3
Implementation support
We work alongside project delivery throughout, adjusting the change plan as the project evolves and addressing resistance and adoption challenges as they emerge.
4
Reinforcement and sustainability
We assess adoption, identify and address compliance gaps, and help embed the change into organizational processes so it does not revert when attention moves on.
Why it matters
The benefits
Conflict expertise built in
Organizational change generates conflict. Having change managers who are also conflict resolution experts means resistance is managed before it becomes a formal complaint.
Prosci-certified methodology
Our change management follows the Prosci framework: the world's most widely used, research-based change methodology. You get structured rigour, not improvised facilitation.
AI transformation specialists
We are supporting organizations through AI adoption right now. We understand both the technology transition and the human dynamics it generates.
Integrated with HR and project delivery
We do not work in parallel with your project; we work inside it. Change management that is integrated from the start is dramatically more effective than change management bolted on at the end.
In practice
Anonymous case studies
All identifying details have been changed or removed. These examples illustrate the kinds of situations we work with and the outcomes our interventions achieve.
Crown Corporation, Technology Implementation
Situation
A Crown corporation was implementing a new enterprise resource planning (ERP) system across three operating divisions. Previous technology implementations had generated significant staff resistance and two formal grievances. HR wanted change management support from the outset rather than retroactively.
Intervention
TNZ was retained at project initiation. A change readiness assessment identified four high-resistance stakeholder groups and two sponsors who were not adequately engaged. A comprehensive change plan was developed covering communications, training, resistance management, and feedback loops. TNZ consultants attended weekly project steering meetings throughout the fourteen-month implementation.
Outcome
The implementation went live on schedule, a first for this organization. Staff adoption rates at the six-month post-go-live review were significantly above the industry benchmark. No formal grievances were filed. HR identified the early change management engagement as the primary differentiator from prior implementations.
Healthcare Organization, AI Adoption
Situation
A healthcare organization was implementing AI-assisted clinical documentation tools. Clinicians had significant concerns about accuracy, privacy, and the implications for professional accountability. Union representatives had raised formal concerns. Leadership wanted to proceed but recognized that clinical resistance could undermine the programme.
Intervention
TNZ designed and facilitated a structured engagement process with frontline clinicians, surfacing concerns, distinguishing factual questions (addressed by the vendor) from values-based resistance (addressed through facilitated dialogue), and co-designing the implementation protocols with clinical input. A training programme was also developed and delivered by TNZ.
Outcome
Formal union concerns were withdrawn following the engagement process. Adoption rates at three months post-implementation exceeded projections by 23%. Three clinicians who had been the most vocal opponents became internal champions of the programme after their concerns were taken seriously and addressed.
Common questions
Frequently asked questions
What is Prosci/ADKAR?
Prosci is the world's leading change management research and methodology organization. ADKAR is their model for individual change: Awareness, Desire, Knowledge, Ability, and Reinforcement. TNZ's change management consultants are Prosci-certified and apply this framework to organizational change projects.
Can TNZ help with AI implementation specifically?
Yes, and this is one of our fastest-growing service areas in 2026. We bring expertise in the human dimensions of AI adoption: communication, training, resistance, policy development, and the conflict that AI-related change generates in teams.
We have an internal project manager. Do we still need change management?
Project management and change management are different disciplines. Project management ensures the technical solution is delivered correctly. Change management ensures people adopt and use it. Organizations with strong internal project management often benefit most from external change management expertise precisely because their projects are well-executed technically but struggle with adoption.
At what stage should change management begin?
At initiation, ideally before the change is announced. Change management that begins after resistance has already formed is significantly less effective than change management that anticipates and addresses resistance before it solidifies.
